Entries open soon. The date and the entry link will be announced here and on the club's Facebook and Instagram. 2026 sold out, so it is worth entering early.

Prices for 2027 are being finalised and will be on the Enter page as soon as they are agreed. There is a discount for runners affiliated to a club through England Athletics, as required by our race licence.

Transfers are handled through the entry platform up to a cut-off date before the race. Details will be on the Enter page once entries are open. Please do not run under someone else's number: it invalidates the insurance and the results.

The refund and deferral rules are set out on the entry platform when you enter. We will publish a plain-English summary on the Enter page.

Runners must be 15 or over on race day to run the 10k, in line with England Athletics rules. Younger children have the fun run.

The course is measured and the race is run under an England Athletics licence, so times are eligible for Power of 10 and runbritain rankings.

Yes. The Riverbank Challenge is a friendly, inclusive event and walkers are welcome. There is a generous cut-off; if you expect to take more than about two hours, drop us a line so the marshals know to expect you.

Bone-conduction or single-ear headphones are fine. Headphones that cover both ears are not allowed on the course, in line with the race licence, because parts of the route are shared with other path users.

Not in the 10k, unfortunately: the riverbank paths are narrow in places. Dogs on leads and buggies are very welcome in the event village.

Follow the event parking signs from Carr Lane into Goole Town Cricket Club. The vehicle entrance closes before the start, so arrive in good time. See Getting here for the details and the what3words address for the entrance.

Yes, at registration. It is staffed, but bags are left at your own risk, so leave valuables at home where you can.

Yes, at the cricket club and in the event village.

We run. The riverbank is exposed, so bring a layer. The race would only be cancelled if the course became unsafe, and we would tell every entrant by email and on social media as early as possible.

Race photos are free. They are published in the week after the race and linked from the Results and photos page. If you would rather not appear in published photos, email us and we will take them down.
