£22 for the 10k, or £20 if you are affiliated to a club through England Athletics — the discount is required by our race licence, so bring your URN when you enter. The kids' fun run is free, and the race T-shirt is an optional extra you add to your entry.

Yes, and it is optional: you add it to your entry when you enter, so nobody pays for one they do not want. It is a proper technical running T-shirt carrying the year's design and our sponsors' logos, and you collect it with your race number on the day. Sizes are ordered in advance, so it cannot be added after entries close.

Transfers are handled through the entry platform up to a cut-off date before the race. The terms are shown on Entry Point when you enter. Please do not run under someone else's number: it invalidates the insurance and the results.

The refund and deferral rules are shown on Entry Point before you pay, so have a read as you enter.

Runners must be 15 or over on race day to run the 10k, in line with England Athletics rules. Younger children have the fun run.

Nothing. The fun run is free for every child, and an adult running alongside a younger child goes free too. Children still need a place, so register them when fun run entries open. Every finisher gets a medal or a certificate.

The course is measured and the race is run under an England Athletics licence, so times are eligible for Power of 10 and runbritain rankings.

Yes. The Riverbank Challenge is a friendly, inclusive event and walkers are welcome. There is a generous cut-off; if you expect to take more than about two hours, drop us a line so the marshals know to expect you.

Bone-conduction or single-ear headphones are fine. Headphones that cover both ears are not allowed on the course, in line with the race licence, because parts of the route are shared with other path users.

Not in the 10k, unfortunately: the riverbank paths are narrow in places. Dogs on leads and buggies are very welcome in the event village.

Yes, at registration. It is staffed, but bags are left at your own risk, so leave valuables at home where you can.

We run. The riverbank is exposed, so bring a layer. The race would only be cancelled if the course became unsafe, and we would tell every entrant by email and on social media as early as possible.

Race photos are free. They are published in the week after the race and linked from the Results and photos page. If you would rather not appear in published photos, email us and we will take them down.
